Thank you for allowing me this amazing opportunity to photograph your precious newborn in their first few days of their life, I am truly honoured and can’t wait to make some cherished memories for you and your family.

All of my sessions take place at my home studio, where you will have the chance to sit back, relax and have a few hours of ‘you’ time whilst I take some beautiful pictures of your little one!

Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2-4 hours and from the moment you arrive we will go at your baby’s pace. I never schedule more than one photoshoot a day, leaving plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and to allow your baby to settle into the session.

In most cases this may be the first time you leave the house with your newborn. Please don’t worry, your baby is in safe hands and you will have a few hours to put your feet up and relax! I want you to feel at home in my studio and I am privileged that you have chosen me to document this special time in your lives, so thank you so much once again!

How it works

Before the session

When you book in for your photoshoot you will pay a non refundable session fee which secures the slot in my diary and covers my time including preparation emails, phone consultations, your newborn session at my studio and professional editing of the best images from the session. This will later be deducted from your chosen collection.

After the session

Approximately 2 weeks after your session you will receive a link to your private online gallery where can you view your beautifully edited images and decide on which of the below collections to purchase.

The Newborn Mini Session

This session falls outside of my main collection and features your baby in swaddled / wrapped images only, in props such as buckets and bowls. Full payment is due the week before the shoot. A non refundable session fee is required at the time of booking that will later be deducted off the total cost.

FAQ’S

What is the best age to photograph a newborn?

The ideal time to photograph your baby is within the first 3 weeks, whilst they are still very sleepy and flexible, allowing me to safely and comfortably create those squishy and dreamy poses you see in newborn photography. However, don't worry if you have missed the newborn window, we can still take make some magical images with a newborn that is slightly older. Please don't hesitate to contact me for a consultation if you are unsure.

When and how do I book in a session with you?

Your session must be booked in advance and can be as early as your 20 week scan so please fill in the contact form as soon as possible with your expected due date. I request the non-refundable session fee of £99 at the time of booking to guarantee your session and I will then block out a number of spaces on and around your due date. Once baby arrives just give me a call to let me know and that is when we confirm a date for the session. I take a limited number of bookings each month so it is important to make a reservation as early as possible.

Can we have our session on the weekend?

Sessions are held Monday – Thursday morning’s but I do keep a handful of weekend slots free a month. Weekend sessions are charged at a £50 premium.

Where does the shoot take place?

I photograph all newborns (and all other shoots including baby, toddler and cake smashes) from the safety and comfort of my home studio. It's fully catered for newborns with changing facilities, a kitchen and a comfy sofa for mum and dad to relax on whilst I get to work!

Do you include outfits and props?

Yes! I provide all outfits and props for the session for babies, however older siblings and family members will need to dress themselves. As part of booking your session you will receive a Preparation Guide with all the information you need on what to wear and what to bring on the day. I have everything we need for the session but if there is a special prop that you want to include then please feel free to bring it along. All bonnets, tiebacks, headbands, blankets and props are selected from specialist newborn photography prop makers who use the best organic materials.

When can I see my photos.?

Producing your beautiful photo gallery will take many hours of work to get them ready for viewing. Please allow approximately 2-3 weeks to view them. After the session, I will select a shortlist of around 40 of the best and most varied images, which I will then edit and invite you to view via a private online gallery where you can pick your favourites to keep, as per your package
