What do I need to bring?

If you are having family photos, please bring baby in an outfit of your choice for the group shots. I suggest plain and neutral clothing for these pictures for parents as well as baby! Jeans and t shirts, plain coloured tops etc to keep your images looking clean, simple and timeless. If baby has any favourite toys / teddies etc. feel free to bring these or any props from home that may be special or sentimental if you would like to include them in the photos. These are optional and not a necessity. Please also bring baby’s water cup and any snacks they may want if they get hungry mid shoot!

Can myself and my partner be in the pictures?

Yes, I always encourage family to have pictures together. Just let me know at the time of booking if this is something you would like to include.

What are the sessions like?

I always go at baby’s pace for the sessions, stopping if they get restless or need a snack or a sip of water. I like to keep my sessions as fun and relaxed as possible, keeping specific direction to a minimum and just snap away at them doing their own thing!
I always start with family pictures (included upon request) to warm baby up to me and my camera! After this we move through the different sets I have created for the photoshoot, where I provide everything else needed - outfits and props etc.

My baby can’t sit up, is this going to be a problem?

Not at all, all poses are age appropriate for your baby and I tailor every shoot to each baby individually based on their age. For babies aged 3-6months who are new to sitting I use blankets and stuffers to help position baby safely so that they are securely held when using props such as buckets and bowls.

Can we have our session on the weekend?

Sessions are held Monday – Thursday morning’s but I do keep a handful of weekend slots free a month. Weekend sessions are charged at a £50 premium.

Where does the shoot take place?

I photograph all babies from the safety and comfort of my home studio. It's fully catered for babies with changing facilities, a kitchen and a comfy sofa for mum and dad to relax on whilst I get to work!

Do you include outfits and props?

Yes! I provide all outfits and props for babies from newborn to 2yo, however older siblings and family members will need to dress themselves. As part of booking your session you will receive a Preparation Guide with all the information you need on what to wear and what to bring on the day. I have everything we need for the session but if there is a special prop that you want to include then please feel free to bring it along. All bonnets, tiebacks, headbands, blankets and props are selected from specialist newborn photography prop makers who use the best organic materials.

When can I see my photos?

Producing your beautiful photo gallery will take many hours of work to get them ready for viewing. Please allow approximately 2-3 weeks to view them. After the session, I will select a shortlist of around 40 of the best and most varied images, which I will then edit and invite you to view via a private online gallery where you can pick your favourites to keep, as per your package.
